Do you know what you're eating?

I recently heard about a documentary about genetically engineered foods. It's really a wake up call. Some of the stuff they do to our food supply is downright scary. Wonder why kids develop faster than they used to? It probably has to do with the growth hormones in our dairy products. I have been trying to shop for organic produce and dairy, but it's very expensive. Do you pay the extra money to buy organic? Do you think it makes a difference?

Just looking at my two girls I knew there was a link between the food we eat today and the foods we ate when I was kid. My 10 year old has been in a bra since she was in her late 8's! This is crazy! It's nothing for girls to start their periods in third flippin grade! The problem is organic would most likely be better for them, but it's further out of the majorities reach. Too expensive. I personally have tried that route, but I simply couldn't afford it. It's sad but most of us adults eat unhealthy food simply because, it's affordable. :o(

Genetically modified fruits & vegetables are causing a lot of problems for vegetarians as the vegetables are not marked, and if they have animal genes in them, can not be considered pure vegetables...
