Whenever I prepare Chinese food at home I add Ajnomotto, as it is commonly called, is better known as mono sodium glutamate. I have now been told that it is injurious to health. Is it a fact? Do you use Ajinomotto?

i think yes. it is definitely dangerous to your health when taken regularly. MSGs are commonly found in instant noodles. a lot of poor people in my country resort to instant noodles as it appears to be the cheapest food they can buy. researchers say that in time a lot of people will suffer because of MSG. it will just strengthen the phrase, "living fast dying young".

I don't use Ajinomotto and even though I love Chinese food I don't prepare Chinese a lot at home. There is a Chinese restaurant int he city where I live I go there regularly with my husband. We both love it, but everytime we come back home we drink a lot of water lol I guess it's because they use a lot of salt. But we still love the food especially the way they make shrimps yummm Thanks for the information. Next time I will ask about Ajinomotto. Take care.
