I tore a ligament and had to be on crutches (IT WAS HORRIBLE!)- but I have never really broken anything before. Have you ever broken a bone in your body? How much did it hurt? How difficult was it to live normally while it healed? (for example people who break their dominant hand or arm..) Thanks in advance for responding:)

Yep - three at once actually. I was in the fifth grade and it was my best friend's birthday. We were jumping on her brand new trampoline and I guess I landed wrong. I didn't notice anything and just kept on jumping and having fun (I have a high pain tolerance). When I got down on the ground I just collapsed and couldnt get back up. My friend's brother helped me and I remember being more shocked about that than the fact that I couldn't walk. Ahh, the innocent naive years.

About 5 years ago I took a spill of the front porch on the ice and broke my foot in 3 places both sides and the back, now the inational break did hurt but it was nothing compared to the pain i was in after they opperated on it , it was pined and screwed together and took forever to heal. I tryly thought I would never walk again on it again and it took some time. It was difficult for me to live normaly, I was used to working everyday, so I went from that to being totally unable to do anything for myself as far as my usuall daily routine. I have never been able to return to work because the nreves didnt heal right and I have a lot of swelling if Im on it for to long, so this has benn a real life changing break to me.
