I really love to travel to places that I have not been to before. My favourite way to travel is by train. I like to sit by the window and see the passing scenery. I find long train journeys relaxing as it is lovely to sleep in a comfortable compartment. The most delightful journey was on the train from the Kenyan coast to Nairobi. I saw giraffes when I was eating breakfast. If a country does not have trains I usually will choose to travel around by bus. Again, I like a window seat most of all so I can enjoy the view from the window. I will go by boat if it is a short journey. I usually fly out to a destination if it is far away or I am short of time. I enjoyed travelling alone when I went around the world. It let me choose a budget. It allowed me to find work where I could in Australia. I was able to see all the places that I wanted to, like the tropical islands of Fiji, the beautiful city of Sydney and the stunning Great Barrier Reef. These days I tend to travel with my family. This is not quite as good because the budget is not just mine to decide and activities have to suit all of us. Also far more luggage needs to be taken. So far the nicest destinations that I have been to are Australia, New Zealand for the lovely outdoor lifestyle. I loved going to the Samoa because it is unspoilt and has an interesting culture. Other lovely tropical islands that I have explored are French Polynesia and the Cook Islands. The Seychelles was really gorgeous. I adored Belize and the fascinating Mayan ruins. Now I have a young baby I would like to take him to visit Portugal. Further afield I would lie to go the Philippines and South Africa.

i like travelling only when i do it with family. i just hate travelling for business since i usually travel alone. anyway, i enjoy watching/looking at the scenery while travelling, as well as the stories we share during the long trips.
