Qualified full-time teachers are paid on a scale. It begins at about £20,000 a year. Then every year the salary goes up by almost 1,000 until they have been teaching for about six years. Then they can go through threshold assessment in order to earn even more. The pay goes into a teacher's bank every month. Supply teaching agencies pay teachers a daily or half daily rate. The highest pay is in London because it is expensive to live there. The pay would probably be more than a £100 a day. Staying in a hostel or bed sit would be the cheapest accommodation in the UK. Costs vary from one area to another. Shopping at a supermarket would be fairy economical. Buying a transport pass would be cheaper than buying tickets every day.
