Should you use refills when buying ink for your printer? I am constantly being told by shop salespeople that if you use refills you will damage your printer.Are they just saying that so that they can sell you the brand name product which is very expensive?

They are probably scamming you. Buy the cheaper refills, or take the cartridge to one of those places that actually refills them for you. As long as the cartridge matches, and the ink is thesame consistency, it should befine.
