Why doesn't my points tally go up when I reply to comments left to me on my own discussion? I just took an hour, answered everyone in detail, and none of it counted. It doesn't give you much incentive to actually write back to people, if it doesn't reflect on your points at all. That hour could have been spent typing to random people..isn't it better to reward us for answering people who take the time to comment on our discussions?

No you dont get points or earn anything by replying with a comment to your discussions.I comment anyway due to resect so the member know that i read what they have said.If i dont comment on everyone i definitely rate them with a (+) if its not offensive or disrespectful.I dont know why we dont get points for comments that we make to our discussions

Yeah, I do make sure I rate each comment, and I will still try to reply to everyone, it's nice to keep discussions moving, and like you said, it shows respect. It's still a bummer that the posts don't count though. Lol

Responding to responses on your own discussion is not counted and does not add up to your earnings. We only make earnings through our own post discussions and responses to other mylotters discussions. But as a common courtesy, you at least have to take time to make comments on the responses made by mylotters to your discussion. To show them that you are grateful for the time and effort they took to answer or take part in your discussion.

Thanks :) I think i've got it sorted now, you have all been really helpful :)
And yes, I agree, we should all make an effort to reply to comments. It keeps it interesting, and basically, there is no point in starting a discussion if you have no plans to add to it :)
I still think it's silly that they don't give you incentive to do this..posting on your own discussions should reward you the same way as posting on others. My opinion :)

You do still get paid for these as I have proved to myself by doing an experiment even although alot of people claim they dont.
Sometimes the wee response counter takes a while to tally up as well just cos the system is a bit slow.
Keep doing what your doing cos if it really is quality then it willr eflect in your earnings.

At this stage I'm not so concerned with the earning - I don't think i'll be making my first million here..lol
I was more disappointed with the fact it didn't show up on my post tally. No matter.
