Identification card is usually given to identify the students or workers of a school or establishment. We are usually require to show this ID whenever we enter our school or work. Do you always wear your ID whenever you're in school or work, or you just show them to the guard to allow you to enter the establishment, then slip and hide it again in your pocket or wallet?

I do if I am in the establishment, we are required to. I am not fond of putting my school/company ID in my wallet, I don't have a wallet either :D. ~mar

Following what is required will do. It's amazing that you're not carrying a wallet in you, just wondering where do you put those things, maybe in a pouch bag.

In my bag usually, I have bought a wallet one time and I thought it is not safe if you put your important things in there; IDs', drivers license...etc. ~mar

As a student I had an ID card that allowed us in and off the premises of the college. In those days you were not allowed in class without it and so I always had mine with me. Usually hanging around my neck. Now in my work environment I do not have such a thing and it is rather nice. However, Carl has one as he works for a large prominent bank in our country and they need it to get in and out of the building each and everyday. Without it he would not be able to get into work to do his work and so his is always with him in his pocket.

That's what I also do, I just pin it in my uniform in order to enter the company premises.

I am one of those who hides my ID and just show them to the guards. As a student, I had to wear it all the time though since it is a requirement in our school.

In Gibraltar, we not only have a passport but also an ID card per resident to prove our Identity. Whenever we want to cross the frontier to Spain, we have to present one of them. Since ID Card is just like the size of a business card, I always carry it with me so that I can go to Spain handily.

Well that's cool, just an ID to go to Spain. And it's very handy indeed, no extra bag or pouch to carry it (just like a passport).

When I am still studying we have to wear our ID when we enter the school premises until classes is still ongoing. Since I am currently working now I just put my ID in my wallet because it is not mandatory to wear it all the time in the office.

Yeah, most companies are not requiring their employees to wear their ID. They just asked for it whenever needed in certain documentation and clearances.

I religiously follow rules.... I wear my ID at all times in work or in school... For reasons that I do not want anybody to call my attention and telling me that I am breaking rules... By principle, if you want to be repected start with the basic set an example follow the rules.... good day friend....

I have swore a long time ago that I would always wear my ID here at work because since we don't have any uniform, the ID would make me look like an office employee. ^__^ however, promises are made to be broken, LOL so now, I seldom wear my ID. ^_^;; it's always on the inside pocket of my bag. I only wear it when I'm going to our head offices. when I was a student I don't wear my ID. we don't have uniforms so the ID would look odd by itself. ^__^;; it's always on my wallet though.

That's the usual practice. If ever needed you just take it out in your wallet.
