I hope this doesn't get deleted because I have been sending pm's since last night and it seems, once again it's not working! Because of the terrible floods in the UK I would like to know if all of my friends are ok? Please let me know!

Hi Annie I saw it on the news, this is terrible! I see nobody has answered you yet. I think the power line were badly effected. So just be patient. I hope they are all ok. Will check in here a little later!

I think you are right because it can't be the time zone, there is only one hour difference. I have never seen the UK like that ever in my life. I'm so glad my daughter is in Goa on vacation at the moment! Nice to see you here again, you were absent for a long time. Hope you are making lots of money! :D

She is in Goa at the moment, Kimberly, thank God for that. I feel so sorry for the people there they have lost almost all their possessions. And some of them loved ones. I'm going to speak to Michelle tonight to hear if they are going home earlier. Thanks for your concern my friend, I appreciate it very much. xx

Sorry I'm replying so late. Here is a storm blazing since yesterday and the power lines were damaged. The server comes and goes. Kimberly, I spoke to her last night and they just got back from Goa, everything is ok with her, but some of her friends had damage to their apartments and cars. They are bracing them again for Saturday, apparently there is a new down pour on it's way! This planet is so screwed up, all over the world the weather is mixed up. We never get rain in winter! and now it is pouring down by the buckets and the wind is howling like a mad beast. I'm sitting here with a tracksuit and the heater is on, Joep had to go and buy a heater, this is very unusual for us! I have been in this town now for 24 years and this is the first time that I had to use a heater! Remember I told you we are going to visit her the end of this year, well when she phoned me last night she said she is going to pay for us to go and visit her in Goa the end of 2008! I'm so excited, that means I will see her this year and next year!! I can't wait! Thanks for your concern my friend! xxx

Luckily we avoided any flood water, but there are others not so far away that wern't so lucky, especially as they are not insured. And as the council cutbacks meant that most of the drains in the sewer system had not been unblocked for a few years now, this caused some of the floods to occur, more than likely we as the tax payers will have to bear the brunt of this expense of an expected £50 million clean up! as usual!
