How do you find a good home for your dog?

I love my dogs really I do but I have to get rid of my corgie. She is fixed so even though she is a purebred no one wants her. She needs to go to a home that doesn't have children because she likes herding so much that it drives her nuts when children run around or away from her. She isn't mean she is only following her instincts but she tends to nip at their heals to get them in a circle. Well that scares kids so they run from her and she starts barking and then the mess is on. She has never hurt anyone but I am afraid she might. My girls have friends here all the time and we have had too many close calls. I just want to find a good home for her that she will be happy at and I haven't found anyone. Any suggestions? I have tried the vets office and everyone I know in town but still no one wants her.

Have you tried welfare/rescue centers? We got one of our huskies from a rescue center. Look in your phonebook and see if one is listed for your breed of dog. They will find the right home for your pooch.
