I really agree with this smoking ban in public places because cigarette is not just injurious to those people smoke them, but is aslo harmful for everybody around them.. Passive smoking, which is breathing in smoke from other people's cigarettes, is considered today as a major health risk all over the world and causes more death every year than many major diseases. So, if smoking is really that bad for the health, why hasn't it actually been banned???

Yes I agree with the smoking bans in public places. In addition to the long term health effects, many people like myself can have allergies and asthma triggered by smoke. I can't even be near someone who has smoked recently because the smell will give me a massive headache. What I find to be really ridiculous, is that smokers will stand right outside of a non-smoking building and puff away. I mean it almost defeats the purpose of having a non-smoking building if you have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get inside. I think all non-smoking buildings should have highly sensitive smoke alarms and maybe that will prevent smokers from smoking so close to those buildings.

Just to clarify, I meant those buildings should have smoke alarms on the outside of the buildings.
