Now dont get me wrong I like animals and have 2 cats at home. I am just not a huge fan of dogs dont hate them just not for me. I have neighbors on either side of me who have more then one dog each. And they bark at eachother all day long. It drives me nuts sometimes and other times I dont bother me. But oh boy today they are going off all day long. I understand dogs bark but I'm telling you today it seems non stop. Does anyone else have this problem in there neighborhood? Does it drive you crazy like it does me?

Believe me, its annoying. I have two dogs myself, but I usaully dont let them bark a lot. My neighbors just leave their dogs outside, and they are soooo loud. I think it is wrong to just leave your dogs out. Its bothersome to the neighbors. Especially in my neighborhood, where every house has a dog, and the ones that dont have houses with two dogs next to it.

Nope. I have three dogs and they are all well behaved. They bark if someone is at my door or prowling around. My neighbors have no complaints. When they did bark all day a years or so ago it did alarm my neighbors...thank goodness as I had been lying unconscious on the floor from an accident for at least 2 days so they saved my life. Could your cats do that!!!!

I can't stand it either. I used to have a dog that everytime he was outside, he used to bark and bark. It drove me nuts. We ended up telling him off everytime we heard it and he soon began to stop.

yeah, hate it too, especially at night time when you're about to sleep and then here comes your neighbor's dog/s barking to their heads. i shoo them away, but at times they don't stop, i throw stones at them.

I find it just as annoying when I am trying to sleep and there are a couple of cats romancing and screaming/howling their "love" songs.

I have a dog and can't stand dogs barking. lol Kind of weird huh? Mine is an inside dog though so she doesn't bother anyone else and doesn't bark often. I can't stand when they bark because once one starts barking, it's not too long until it sends off a chain reaction. In 10 seconds, every dog in the neighborhood is barking. But that doesn't happen much at all though. Most people here have little dogs that stay in the house.

Luckily I don't seem to have this problem in my neighborhood, I can only imagine how annoying it must be. I'm a big dog lover but it would get really irritating hearing dogs bark at each other nonstop, too loud and not as soothing as hearing a kitty purr...hehe.

actually when we first moved in the neighbors were new too, b/c it's was a new home development, the neighbors had a dog that constantly barked all day long and all night long, we couldn't keep our room window open b/c the dog was always barking. now it's gotten better, she doesn't bark as much, so maybe she just got used to living at that house.

I have 1 cute dog, and he is not used to bark unnecessarily. Of coz it is annoying if he barks at mid night, but i think its a part of his duty for his owner.

We don't have barking dogs next door, but we have very noisy neighbours and no matter how hard we try to stop it from carrying on, it never does. Like with your neighbours dogs, its sometimes not as bad as other days but when it is its times like early in the morning and late at night in the bedrooms so it wakes us up when we are asleep. Its more noisy downstairs in the day time usually. I'm not sure how you can solve the problem because we are having problems solving ours, which has been going on for nearly 2 years now. It seems like it drives you mad some days. Good luck with getting it sorted. ~joeys wife

While I love animals, I have to agree with you. I'm not a big dog person either. Unfortunately, this summer when my fiance's ex-wife came out with their son for a vacation, she left him with a dog, along with the cat, which we'd already agrred on. She pwned their dog off on us, and the animal is driving us all crazy with her barking!!!!!!!!

I have two dogs who do, unfortunately, tend to bark now and then whenever large critters, strangers, or fellow dogs come strolling by. Considering that we live in the boonies, it's not an all-the-time thing, but I do start stressing out when they startup, worrying about the neighbors. Of course, most of my neighbors have no problem letting their dogs bark into the night. Mine are pretty good about keeping quiet, especially at ight, and if they don't, I usually go out to get them to relatively quickly. What I don't get is how people can just let their dogs bark nonstop all day/night long. Even as an owner of two barking dogs, that drives me nuts and is just plan inconsiderate.

Sometimes it is a little annoying but usually I've found that the dogs aren't barking "at" each other, but usually at someone or something else. They do usually greet each other with a few barks (from what I've noticed with my own dogs and neighbors) but they do "sound the canine alarm" if animals (cats, squirrels, etc) enter their territory. This is also true for people. For the above reasons it really doesn't bother me. It's added security and is a crime deterent. It's awfully hard for a theif to break in to a home if all the nighborhood dogs are barking at him.

I own one of those barking dogs. I call him Sir Barks A lot. I try to keep him quiet, I will tell you at times he barks at the wind it drives me carzy. If I hear him barking I holler at him if does not stop I will put him in the house. I will not let him outside when no one is home becuse I am afraid he will drive the neighbors to drinking. Have you called the local animal control to complain about the dogs?

I love animals, especially dogs. But if pet dogs are left to bark incessantly, it can drive you nuts and make you feel very irritated. This is especially so if you live in a high-rise apartment that has an airwell, where the noise created by a barking dog in one unit can reverberate in an amplified manner to all the other apartment units around. They say that "barking dogs seldom bite", but if a dog can't stop barking, I'd rather have a biting dog that doesn't bark! Then I only have to avoid coming into contact with it to get bitten.

Not as annoying in the day as it is in the night. but still annoying. especially when someone or a stray dog walks past someones yard, then one dog starts barking, then the whole neighbourhood begins to bark. (the dogs have started to bark right now) and sometimes its a dog from somewhere far away, but you can still here it and then all the dogs around here start. its like an endless barking chain. puppies ae also annoying, cause you have to lockthem in the dog house or they will runaway, then they get estless at night and wake you up. i especially hate it when there is jst one dog outside barking and there is nothing to bark at, or else the other would have started. when they bark that much, its kinda hard to tell if someone is trying to break into somewhere or their just barking cause they want to. anywasy i still love dogs.
