My wife and I have spent the last year and one month trying to renovate an old church into a house. It has been nothing but frustrating. Although we are nearly done, problems are still coming up and it seems like we will forever be fixing/paying for this project. Does anyone else have any advice or stories about renovations they have done to their homes? I am hoping I'm not alone on this one.

Hi dalip, that is so cool, my husband and myself were going to do that. We had an old church in town and it was for sale but we would have had to tear it down or move it. Anyway, the house we bought 10 years ago we are constantly renovating. Last year we redid our bathroom and we have redone our kitchen and started to redo our living room. We only have the ceiling left. We want to do so much more though. We have a sun porch that we want to move out another 12 feet and we want to put patio doors in our dining room going out to our deck. We also want to enclose the deck with glass and have our table out there. If we did that though it would be all open instead of the patio doors. We haven't quite decided what to do. We also want to build upward. We have an attic that we can stand up in the middle but that is it. We want to raise the roof and make some bedrooms upstairs and another bathroom. Big plans! We pay for everything right away so we have no bills from the renos. :)
