What should you do if you break a string of pearls?

I have a really nice string of pearls that was broken a couple years ago. I kept all of the pearl beads, but am not sure how to restring the pearls. Has anyone ever dealt with a situation like this? What type of string should I use to restring the pearls? Does anyone know?

I would probably take them to a jeweler and let them do it or at least call them to find out what to use and where to find that material.... I wish I could give you a better answer than that...but I would take them in...... I have a string of pearls that were handed down to me in my family...I would never attempt to fix it myself....

I definitely wouldn't try to do it myself! I would find a professional to do it. With my luck, I would do it wrong and the next time it would break and I wouldn't be able to find all the beads. It is definitely worth the extra money for the piece of mind you would get from knowing it was done right.
