Welcome to MyLot - Nest of seething ignorance.

We live in the 21st century. Slavery is illegal in most places. It's also illegal to be violent or threatening against people just because you don't like what they represent. If you read some of my responses and discussions that I start, you might think I show a lot of rage against people. That's true. That's because I just think it is totally unfitting for human beings (I'm assuming you are all humans answering these discussions but I could be wrong, right?) to dig at and show ignorance and prejudice against people. I find that here on MyLot, and yes, on the internet in general, people are less uptight about their prejudices. For some reason, because people can't see you or get to you, and you're typing under and assumed name, you all think it's ok to be totally open about your ignorance and hates. I'm getting less and less proud to be part of this community and may leave soon. Just wanted you all to know.

I’m not quite sure how to answer this one- I do see a lot of ignorance and hate on mylot- as well as any forum type internet site. None directed at me- and I usually just ignore what I do see. Luckily for me I don’t run into it a lot. I’m sorry if you feel you need to leave the community due to this. I don’t let people bother me- I am happy to post my opinion and move on. Be nice if you stayed- and just didn’t have contact with those people who make you feel this way.

I guess I still wish that MyLot would put in a block or delete function so I don't have to look at the comments put up that really offend me. There will always be those with whom we do not agree, but there is a difference between disagree and offended.

What you say is undoubtedly true how ever I look at it in a different positive way, Here you can vent and release your true feelings without any fear of repercussions (getting banned is an exception). Keeping certain things inside you to fester and poison your soul is not a good or healthy thing to do. I would rather get things out in the open before I explode or..horror of horrors kick the dogs, punch a hole in the wall or any other such release valve.

Typing nasty things that offend people is certainly better than having swollen knuckles and holes in the wall. We have a wall puncher in our family. Actually I never feel sorry for him when he hurts himself. What I hate is that somehow he never ends up paying for the repairs, but then he is the one that keeps getting the free ride I despise.

The voice of the opinion, is it me or is it you... A good question to ask and then search for the story and experience to validate or change the belief. If you look below the surface you'll find the answer that you seek, but you have to be prepared for what you might learn could change your whole life and the way you think. Many people here of a story and they only dig a little at the top of the iceburg, never getting close to the water line and you know there is much more sunk below than above and in that case, the real truth is far from them at the top of the mountain. Dig and never stop learning... :) Knowing your love for horses, I offer a little from my own neck of the woods. Follow this link and let me know what you think, I wish the standings were recorded back to the year 2000... Maybe I need to dig a little deeper? ;) http://communati.ocm/main/who-are-jerry-and-karen-zero Enjoy... :)

I have to get to bed, I was trying to tell you about my sister and her husband, they are into training equestrian horse riding since 2000 she has place one or two in her division. I'm just trying to break the ice, on a subject that we could talk a little about. Maybe I have to get you to join that site? If your interested then I'm certain that you could view the link, I noticed that it didn't work for me either, I'll have to research it further when I get the chance. Sorry about that... Peace, Sincerely, Gary

Yeah I know what you mean. There are a few topics about abortion on here and the responses would make your skin crawl. Some of the people responding are down right insulting others because they don't have the same opinion. It is apalling to even read the discussions.

Opinion is opinion. That's what this site is about. It's not about deciding against whom we should commit hate crimes, right?

You learn to deal with it. It's actually the same thing you'll face in real life, to be honest. Just, I guess, online, it's much more widespread because more morons have apparently figured out how to get their hands on computers. You'll understand the prejudice in the world itself when you happen to be under one of those groups that society has deemed it alright to be ignorant about. It's definitely not one of the best feelings in the world. Either way, ignorance is one of the fastest ways to completely piss me off. I hate it when people are complete idiots about the world around them. Personally, I think ignorance shows a complete lack of compassion and the world would be better without people like that.

That's kewl. I think lack of compassion shows ignorance. You're right, seeing it in an online community is just like a miniature and concentrated model of what is out in the world in REAL LIFE.
