I just heard about this a couple days ago.So I went online to the website and most in my state are quite a distance. But there was one that was at a park(that my son & I were just at days before) about 8 miles away.So we got the clue and headed out.Whew! Quite the hike(in a woods at a steep incline). My son(11) and I enjoyed it.Hoping we can go again tomore,if I ever can put gas in my car.

I realize it's a pretty old thread, but the only one about letterboxing I found. I love letterboxing. A friend introduced my family & me to it a few years back, and we all love it. We try to go hunting weekly when the weather is cooperative. Of course in the winter months we seldom get to go.

This is a very old discussion, but I just heard of letter boxing recently. I was looking into geocaching as a possible family activity. I actually found several listings in my area, but they're all at least 2 years old. I can't imagine that they're still out there. It does sound really interesting, though. Maybe I'll look into doing both. I doubt my son will have much interest in either, except for the walking, but my niece and goddaughter would probably get a kick out of both. As someone else said, maybe hiding one of my own will re-ignite interest in the area. It does appear that there are several people in my area who were interested at one point.
