Have your vegan ways come between you and a boyfriend?

Does your boyfriend or husband hate the fact that you won't eat anything that was once living, i.e. animals? Does he complain that you make him eat that way? How do you handle your differences? How can you make him understand that it's not just about the food, but a philosophy?
