You can upload files up to 2GB at http://www.yousendit.com, but IIRC, the link will become deactive after 7 days or 25 downloads.

For files larger than 100 MB, I use Xdrive. You can get 5 GB storage for free (in a single account). I'm not sure what the filesize limit is, but I've uploaded and downloaded a 618 MB ISO image without any trouble at all. If I want to share it with a friend, I simply e-mail them a randomly generated link that's good for 7 days. :)

run FPT server on your computer. Easy to install and easy to maintain.
