When did you learn to make wine?

What was the first batch of homebrew you ever made, and was it successful? For me, I was in my late teens and made a batch of blackberry wine using hedgerow berries and a demijohn and airlock given by a neighbour. I can still remember the scent of that first batch, blackberry wine always brings back memories for me. How about you?
