Well it was announced this week that Eury Sr. will be leaving DEI for JR Motorsports. Though Jr. and Eury Sr. have seemed to had a lot of disagreements since Dale Sr's passing, I think in the long term this will help Jr. in building a strong company. On the flip side it makes me wonder who will leave DEI next and what effect these people leaving will have on DEI. So what are your thoughts on this?

It's long been rumored that Eury, Jr. is almost certainly a part of the package with Dale. I think he's got one more year left on his contract with DEI, but I think there have been discussion that he is wanting to leave, too. I think the team can survive if they get the right driver. Rarely do one or two people make a team. There is also the factor of chemistry. Dale, Sr. was successful and Larry McReynolds was successful, but the two years they spent together were not either of their best. So, finding the right chemistry will ensure DEI survives.

I don't know sounded like Jr. threw out a challenge to Eury Jr. after the race today and I agree Tony Gibson has done a great job these last 6 weeks. Let's hope Eury Jr. can keep up the good wotk. As for Eury Jr. going with Jr. we will have to keep waiting to see I guess. But if he doesn't mabe he'll join his dad at JR Motorsports.
