Does it matter dating or marrying a guy or lady older than one?

In most marriages, the man is usually known to be older but what if it goes the other way round that is the woman being older than the man, its there a problem in that or is it absurd?

Why should age have anything to do with the success of a relationship? I was once engaged to a man 8 years my senior...I was 16 he was 24. By the time I was 18 I was more mature and found him to be quite childish, even though he was older. I have had relationships with men who are both older and younger than me. Some were good and some were not. Chronological age played not part in the success or failure of the relationship, but mental maturity did. Good topic by the way.

My partner is 4 years younger than I am and neither he nor I have a problem with it. We have been together 2 years now and have bought a house together. I am expecting our first baby in September. I think it makes no difference that he is younger than I am. I think this is more normal than my sister's relationship, her husband is 20 years older than she is and that seems too much to me although we get on very well with her husband.
