Recently, I have been frequenting several PPC (Pay Per Click) sites. Before I continue, let me emphasize that I am NOT advertising any referral links here. Neither am I going to ask anyone to pm me for more info. Jealous p*gs, please stop reporting me and giving me minuses for no reason. Do you feel pathetic? Alright, let's get back. As I was saying, at each of these PPC sites, we click on ads and view them each for a typical 30 seconds. And what do we get in return? 1 cent per click. Yes, 1 puny cent per click. When I joined my first PPC site, I felt humiliated. What can I do with 1 cent? What do you take me for? But since money was not in plentiful supply here, I sucked my thumb and labored on. I reasoned that after all, if I accumulate enough 1 cents, it would still be worth something. Then recently, I chanced upon a site that pays 0.1 cent per click. I did not know whether to be amused or insulted. Whichever, the more PPC sites I join, the more despondent I feel. The most appropriate word for my feeling is PATHETIC. Yes, I feel pathetic, extremely pathetic. What am I doing with my life? Fancy myself, a degree holder who thinks himself smart and capable, clicking ads for 1 cent each. Even if this is not the greatest joke of the century, it is close. Do you feel pathetic too if you are currently clicking ads? Or are you long immune? Or... ?

Haha.. my sister referred me to one of these sites. well, i to me, anything to earn money isn't pathetic.. even if it is a measly 1 cent.. but in due time (maybe the next few years), you'll be rewarded accordingly. :) Whatever it is, i feel, instead of wasting my time surfing through sites that i just browse through, might as well be making at a cent out of it.. but i'm not to sure whether i'd go for the 0.1 cent site, though.. However, my older brother thinks it is pathetic and he just laughs at me when he sees what i'm up to.. oh well.. i can say i'm immune... :)

Doesn't it say in the Mylot regulations that users earn more if their discussions get more responses? If they don't, then there's really no point in using Mylot, from a money-earning standpoint.

I don't have much referral earnings for myLot. Practically everything I am earning, it is by my own effort. That's why it is so little. And I have to disagree that discussions with more responses earn more. That is just not true but it is a fallacy that many people like to cling to, for reasons they only know themselves.:P And yes, I do agree that myLot pays better than PPC sites but really, the difference is not that staggering. Unfortunately.

No it doesn't. I never read that discussions with more responses get more money. I don't know where you read it. Whichever, it is not the case.

That's why I go for investment sites instead. Yes there is a chance of losing your money but when you find a good program it pays off..:)

Hmmmmm hi lordwarwizard :) another one of your long and thoughtful discussions and a good one as well :).....i think it depends on how you look at it - if you are anyway going to browse a lot of sites getting paid 1 cent is ok! but if you get a internet connection so you can go to PPC sites and make money then i guess it will make us feel stupid and LOL yes pathetic!

My connection is ok enough.. but I can't find that many legitimate sites around.

I have never tried that. it is really a waste of time and life. The most important reason for me to come here is that I want to remember Some English words, I assume if I do not type or use these Words for a long time, i may not use them, when I want to use them.

That's why I don't participate in such sites. To me it's not worth the time I would have to put in for the money that's paid out. If my goal is to make money, I'd be better off looking in the local newspaper 'help wanted' and do a job helping someone move, etc.

You think that dropping 1 point on your rating here makes you pathetic,? geez man it's only 1 point. I dropped 5 points the last time I responded to you, I'm not being a cry baby about it either. Might I suggest you build a bridge and get over it. As to the PPC sites, well you want to earn money online, no one will ever become a millionaire doing this. Might I suggest you put your degree to work and get offline and get a well paid job,? At 15 years old I started my chef training, by the time I was 25 I was a head chef, and in charge of a very busy hotel kitchen. I was earning enough money to pay off 2 out of 3 mortgages in 5 years, and still look after my partner and 2 kids well. The only degree I had was a certificate stating my qualification as a chef, I had nothing from school because I left 2 years to early to get anything there. My suggestion to you,? swallow a little pride, get off your butt, dust yourself off and go for it. If I can do it with little formal schooling, you sure can with a degree.

I got the impression from your post that PPC sites and earning so little money for your efforts was some how beneath you, a lot of effort for little return, hence my suggestion of getting that degree working for you and earning some real money. At your age you could get well paid work anywhere. As to the last discussion, I've moved on too by the way.

I don't understand crazy1... we are discussing PPC sites here. Are you now talking about my reply to your that discussion? I am sorry you dropped 5 points. To be honest, I didn't check. I have moved on already - that's why I didn't reply further to your reply. I see any point. In case you got it wrong, I did not ask anyone to give you minuses. Your 5 points may have dropped because of other reasons. I would not be able to guess but you can reflect on it yourself. I don't know why you deleted me as friend then send a new request though. :P And thank you for sharing your achievements. Quite impressive.

I don't know..you can't understimate the power of 1cents or 0.1cts..There ase some crooked bank staffs who made hundred of thousands pinching the 1cts and 0.1cts from our bank accounts and running away scot free.. Anyway I have not visited my PPC websites since joining Mylot...

So you suggest I try those crooked mass 1 cent stealing lol? :P But don't they all get caught in the end? I don't believe in gaining at the expense of others. It does not sit very well with my principles.

Argh I don't feel very pathetic because I think that you start off this way but eventually you will probably get some referrals and the 1 cents will start adding up in your paypal and the more sites you join the more cents you get from each one and then once you have as much as you like you can cashout you account :-) I think that myLot is better than those sites but the others help a bit too. I recommend you join Adbux and Bux.to ;-) Rated +.

I went to a PPC site years ago, where i found no fun and it's wasting my time,so i quited at once.Days ago,I found mylot,I think it's better than the PPC sites for it gives us the opportunity to talk with others and change ideas.

I know exactly what you mean. After sucessive down scaling of payments made here on mylot my last few updates on payment have been cents in single figers. Yes I feel pathetic but i guess im addicted to it now. It really is a futile use of our time if the idea is to make money blessed be

I was just thinking this the other day. I actually don't waste the entire 30 seconds because I open two or three from different sites in different tabs and come back here for a minute or two, but still it is a big waste of time. I really don't spend much time with any of them which is why if anyone has visited my blog they probably noticed that I haven't reached the payout in many of them.

I know how you feel. I haven't done those but am doing the surveys. Half the time I get halfway through just to be told I am not suitable.

this is the reason why some people resort to using BOTS or SCRIPTS to auto post in these sites while they go about doing anything else but look at the screen. i do not condone the use of BOTS but i do notice some posts even in mylot that looks very suspicious to me. take for example, someone mention the word "ghost" but not ghost in the sense of spirit but a particular software. one of the reply you see is a very eloquent pulitzer prize english explaining what a ghost is in the spirit sense! it is easy for most people to go ahead and use scripting software that are in abundance in the internet to do this. they just need to have a "dictionary file" that points to what to post when a matching word is found. thus you have BOTS posting out of context discussion. with BOT/SCRIPTS the 1cts becomes $$$ when you wake up the next morning.

I don't like to waste my time thinking about the little money i would make on any site..i come here for the discussions and blogs...how pathetic is up to the person spending a lot of time when they could be playing with their children, pets, or significant others...this should not be a replacement for socialization...but that is my two cents worth.. since I don't have a life anyway..i come here..lol sad?
