Stomp the Yard... anyone ever step dance or battle before?

I saw the movie when it was in theaters, but I just bought it and was watching it again this morning while I am doing my work. I was curious to see if anyone has ever been a part of a step team or even battle dancing? I remember in college, those guys were some of the most coordinated people I've seen. I played football in high school and I still didn't think I could keep up with those guys. So have you ever been a part of a dance team? Or even wanted to be?

Only at the crib. If I was caught out in public stomping the yard, I would be swept, or kicked off the yard. I use to go to alot of step parties back in the 90's.

When I was younger, I used to be a member of a dance club in school doing folk dances and some modern dance too but I have not experience doing street dance and hip hop. when you're a member of a dance group you are quite popular in school or even at the office when I started working, but now its different I am kinda old, I can only do few steps of ballroom dance but I am proud to say that my son is into street and hip hop dancing in school now, he is a campus figure.
