itp is a immun system disease and it s long name is idiopatic tormbositopenia purpura.and that means any one that is itp he or she has less red blood cell than normal human. it is dangerous if your red blood cells fall in zero percent. itp can healed by medicine or surgery but there is a chance that it can never heal.itp s real effect is if you bleed , blood will not stop easily. a paper cut can heal two times normal . now what you think of itp ; is that a normal disase or is it like a curse ?

i have been diagnosed with ITP january of this year. ITP means Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura, although others call it Immune Thrombocytopenia Purpura because of its nature to attack the person's immune system. Primary symptoms are bruises and petechaes all over your body, bleeding gums/nose. When this happens you should have yourself checked. The doctor will recommend you for a CBC. It's the platelet count that decreases in ITP. When I got to the hospital after i had the symptoms, my platelet count was as low as 40,000.i had a transfusion of 6 units of platelet concentrate. It's the liquid that's left after the red and white components of your blood are taken out. i have joined an online community of ITP patients and from them i found out that ITP occuring in kids are curable while ITP in adults are chronic. No medicine has yet been discovered to cure ITP. For ITP patients like me, although there are remissions that go on for a long time, i can never be too careless about my health. as much as possible eat the right food and avoid those that foods that could thin the blood. And ever since i got ITP, i stay away from taking Ibuprofen, it thins you're blood big time.
