walking to the park with my grandsons. It had started to rain...This white van pulls up next to me and wants to know if I wanted a ride..I told him no and he says, "all of you will fit in the van..I was like, no thank you, my husband is at the part waiting for me...How weird was that?....He just drove off...I kept looking around to see if he was going to return....I told my husband right away...He wasn't waiting for me but it was the best I had at that very moment....I wasn't worried about me, it was my grandsons I was more worried about....Anything like this happen to you? What would you have done? Do you think he was just being nice because it was raining?

Nothing like this has happened to me. I think you handled it well! I on the other hand watch too many movies and that sort of thing would of scared me a little. Most definitely would of said what you said and emphasized that I was meeting my husband. It was nice of him to ask but still, I would of be a little bit scared!

If I didn't know the person, I would have politely told them no, thank you and kept on walking. I will only pull over and ask someone if they need a ride if I know them. If I come upon someone having car trouble I will pull over and put my window down about an inch and ask if they nee to make a call or if I can go get them help. It is so sad that we cannot trust people anymore. But we still need to try to be nice and helpful.
