Have you ever thrown away money?

I don't mean have you ever wasted money. I'm talking about really throwing money or cash in the trash. Have you ever done that? Once I heard about a couple that had just moved to the US and they accidentally threw their life savings away in the trash. The spouse had tied up the money into a trash bag and left it in the cabinet. The husband didn't know what it was and assumed it was trash and threw it away on trash day. Luckily, friends and family were able to help them by holding a fund raiser. But, honestly not everyone would be so lucky to get back $10,000 so easily. What about you? Have you ever accidentally emptied your pockets into the trash and later realized that you had thrown ten dollars away? One hundred dollars? Did you go after the money?
