I don't have a cat or a dog. If I would have to choose, I would take a dog.

Thanks for the dog vote! Dogs are great companions if you are lonely, but they are a lot of work.

I had two cats growing up, one of which still lives with my parents. The other one moved away with me when I moved out, but passed away several years ago. Now I have another cat & my parents have two cats. And of course, my cute little puppy!

Well I have 2 cats in my home, as well as 1 dog, If my wife had her way there would be more animals in this house.

i love puppys and kittens but when they get older they are a pain in the butt!!

My dog is still a puppy & she gets into everything!!! She tore up a houseplant yesterday & left dirt & leaves all over the floor. Wanted to kill her, but she was just so cute sitting there in all of the mess!!!

I like both. I love cats who are friendly and dogs i like just cause they are so friendly usually.

I love both too. Kind of scared of big dogs, unless I know they are friendly & well trained. But overall, love both.

Any reason for hating cats? Just wondering if you've had a bad experience or something. My cat tends to be prissy & not a lot of folks like her either.

Yea for cats! I have one too, she's old & very stuck up. But she's still part of the family & could never ever dream of getting rid of her. Then the dog would not have anyone to pick on her! ha ha!

Cats are very loving & low maintenance. They can be great companions too.

I have one dog, although i like cats too i have always grown up with dogs so i would have to say i prefer those if im honest!!

I have both, as I said. But I would have to say that I love my dog more than my cat, if I had to choose. But I couldn't ever get rid of either, they're both members of our family now.

I am allergic to both cats & dogs too, but just live on Claritin to help out. But I know some people are more allergic & can't handle them at all. Would you have any animals other than dogs or cats if you were out in the country? Maybe a horse, sheep, goat?

Dogs tend to be happy too when they see people. My little dog just wags her tail & wiggles her rear whenever she is really excited & especially around new people. They tend to love unconditionally.

I definately prefer dogs. I have 3 dogs at the moment & I'm going to get another puppy soon. But I'm also getting a kitten soon. LOL I do like cats, I just prefer dogs.

I never had a dog before either, until recently. My current dog is adorable though, she's a big baby.
