E-Mail Scams

India

For the past few days, I have been getting e-mails, from various sources, saying that my E-mail Account has won, a particular millions of Dollars or a particular Millions of Euros, giving details of Ticket Numbers, etc. for which I have never played. They ask me to claim the amount, giving out my full details. I do beleive all such things are scams and just deleted everything. I also got a lot of mails from Africa and Nigeria asking me to help them settle huge sums of Dollars into Bank Accounts for a big claim. Dear friends, such scams are still going on. Dont ever divulge your informations such as address, bank account no, etc., to anybody for heaven's sake.

i agree to you wholeheartedly my friend shrudilaya. we should never fall into these kinds of craps and avoid being ripped off by Internet scams, fraud, misinformation, and hype. in fact, we should get in touch with online authorities to report malicious emails. read these links to get updates on email scams and other types of frauds- http://www.scambusters.org/ http://www.aarp.org/money/wise_consumer/scams/

If you know that you never participated in any contest or whatsoever, that is a scam. You never release your info to just anybody you don't know.
