I live in an apartment block and there are close too 100 families in the entire building..My neighbors are great and we have great relationship and we don't quarrel with one another...But I have friends whose neighbours they describe as "monster neighbours"..Their neighbours will knock on the walls in the middle of the night or would sing karaoke until the wee hours of the morning!!!!

Hello 1qazxsw2, I live in a condominium too and very lucky to have good neighbours *smile* I don't have any problem with any of my neighbours as we are a bit 'kiasu'. The doors are always close and we only see each other during weekends, just to say 'hi' LOL! Next to mine is an empty lot ( I guess my 'ghost neighbour' is also good as they never disturbed me LOL! Better not, touch wood!) If my mom is staying with me, it will be a different scenario. My mom is well known as she is very very talkative person. All my neighbours know my mom whom they call 'Aunty' compare to the owner of the house herself *laugh* By the way, I just moved in. Too busy mylotting that I don't have time to have a decent conversation with my neighbours. Well, need to find time later!

I am so very glad that I do not live in an apartment complex. My home is a free standing single family house. My neighbors range from good to excellent, and they do not disturb me in any way. We talk with most of them on a regular basis. We sleep upstairs so very little sound from the street or the area reaches us.There are only five houses other than ours. Directly behind us is a parking lot for our church which is across the street behind us. If you own a home, and you have monster neighbors, it gets very hard to move. I have been in a situation. If you are renting, you do at least have the option of moving out.
