I went to a couple camps that would last about a week or so growing up. The rest of the time was spent visiting family or just running around outside. I spent so much time outside in fact that my fair untannable skin.... TANNED! lol
What about you? Did you go to camps or come up with things for yourself to do ect?

Mostly I came up with things to do myself. A few times we went on a vacation, but mostly stayed home. When I was under 11 we lived a few blocks from a woods and a friend who lived near me and I would go there a lot and do things like craydad fish in a nice little pond hidden away in some trees, and just have fun. In high school I went on a couple of week long canoe trips with friends which was different and fun. My untannable skin mainly just burned with almost never a tan.

We always went to our grand parents shack by the beach and spent all day every day in bathers on the beach, or out fishing, we always had a never ending supply of fish to eat for tea and we had great fun while we were there, I was only thinking recently that I wish they still had that place as I would love to take my daughter there! I was also always very tanned while I was growing up as I was always outside
