What would happen if everyone went off their diet at the same time?

Since I was 13 years old, I've been on one fad diet or the other. I don't think there's been a time in the last fifteen plus years when I haven't been overly conscious of the food that goes into my mouth. But, for once I wish I could just stop obsessing and start eating! I know it sounds crazy, but what's the worst that could possibly happen? I'm not suggesting that everyone should start eating donuts and pie 24 hours a day. But, what bad thing could possibly happen to us, if we all went off our diets at the same time? Would we all gain weight over night? Whatever happened to sensible eating? That's not a diet, is it?

Yip! I gave up at the age of 31 and I have just gained weight all the time and now trying harder to get it off... and believe me that it is hard. I wish one could just eat and never pick up weight. Thanks for this discussion and hope you have a great day.

I do not know whether everyone gain weight or not, when they all together went off their diet. But definitely the multinational compnaies who are manufacturing and marketing junk food will have a field day (s).
