Can Academic training bring people much knowledge ?

More and more people think qualities that need in today's world can't be learnt in unversities or other academic institutions ,which should adjust their educational goal and orientation in order to adapt this change.
What do you think about it

Yes! but not that much I believe because there are still a lot of things to be learned outside the academe. I learned a lot of both spiritual and earthly things from the bible from a preacher and not in school. These things I treasured so much because I believe it is preparing for my eternal life. This world is temporary and thus its not worth preparing for.
And so my answer here is YES and NO.
