New law in Tennessee

I just read that there's a new law going into affect soon. No matter how old you are or appear to be, you will have to show your ID to buy alcohol. What do you think about this? I have always thought it was good when I got carded because that meant that they actually do card people who look like they could be younger than 21. But for someone that is obviously older, why would they card them too? I guess that it can't really hurt.

this poem will explain the answer:-
I read this in the paper,
And it really made me think;
That a quarter of all road accidents
Can be blamed... directly... on drink.
Now statistics, they tell you, will never lie,
But be wary of how they're used;
You need your wits about you,
It's easy to get confused.
If a quarter of accidents are had by drunks,
Then sober people have all the rest;
That's 75% if I'm not mistaken,
... (My maths never were the best).
But I'm not entirely stupid,
And I plan to stay alive;
So I'm gonna start driving drunk,
I'm three times more likely to survive.

I don't see anything wrong with it. You have to show your ID for just about everything anyway.
