What kind of discussions will you reply to?

There are so many discussions posted on Mylot everyday.What kind of discussions will you choose to respond?Today's top discussions or discussions with no responses?New discussions or discussions from my interests?
For me,I reply to the discussions my friends started first.Everytime I get a new friend,I turn the notify on.So when my friends start new discussions,I'm notified in an e-mail.I will respond to most of them.
What about you?How do you choose the discussions to respond?

I like to respond to discussions that I know my response would make some contribution. So I look at the the discussions carefully before i respond. First I check out the discussions started by my friends and respond to as many of them as I can. Then I go to the days top discussions and also respond to as many as I can there too. Then I go to the days hot discussions and respond to as many as possible. Then if i am still able to, I look at the discussions with no responses and also the new user discussions.

I would prefer to respond to quality posts rather than silly and commonplace topics .I also try to keep off from one-liner posts.

Usually any discussion with taste I will answer. It depends more on time then on topic. I don't care for the crazy foolish ones:)+

Well there is not one type over another that I will respond to. I read discussions from different interest groups. Then I will respond to what appeals to me at that moment. I try to always to look in different areas. Like I will check the no responses, new user discussions, my friends discussions, etc.

Usually I will reply to the discussions started from my friends at first. Then I'll look at the discussions have no response. I always like to give them a response so that they won't get zero reply. It's not a good feeling:)

I favor discussions started by friends, but other than that? I only go for discussions that interests me in some way.

I have the same feeling with you.It's hard to respond to discussions I'm not familiar with.
