What did you do for the 4th of July?

I didn't do too much. I made a big fried chicken dinner for my friend and her little ones. Our husbands are in the same troop and are off in Iraq now, so we just got together to hang out at my house. We watched fireworks from the playground and I am not getting ready to go to bed. So, how did you celebrate?

That is very special! I am glad that you shared that with me. I know that you don't get to spend much time together, but it only makes the time that you do have much sweeter and more important. I know how that feels. I haven't seen my husband in over a month and I have 14 more months to go. So, I am very happy that you had such a special day for his birthday and monthsary. Take care and thanks for responding!

Thanks Gabs! It was fun and we had a good time. I think I like to just have get togethers regardless of what day it is. Hugs to you!

I got up at 6 this morning and started a four hour journey to get my grandsons picked up and over to my son's girlfriend's house for a pool party. I stopped at a drive thru and picked up lunch for the rest of the family, then took a quick nap before heading out to the grocery store. When I got home I cooked dinner and then took another nap. The kids woke me up to watch the fireworks and now I am ready to watch Ghosthunters before I go to bed.

Oh, that sounds like you had a very relaxing time! I didn't have so much of a relaxing time but it was fun just the same. i am not used to having small kids around me anymore and my nerves were a little frazzled but it was nice! Thanks for commenting.
