If you got paid $0.05 for each response/topic/comment you would have to post 105 times an hour to make minimum wage.

You really can't depend on My Lot as a job. It is meant to be fun and to earn some extra cash but nothing you can retire off of! Just have fun with it. Look at the money as a extra bonus. After time it will add up cause we really aren't working that hard to earn it

i don't see it as a job i was just curious to see if it would be possible to live off the income from My Lot. appearantly it would be extrememly difficult. I came for the chance to earn lots of money on My Lot but i stay for the great community, the money we earn is just an excelent perk. =P

it's not very difficult. minimum wage is $5.75 here in colorado, divide $5.75 by 5 cents each post and you get 105. Trust me I really am no math whiz.

honestely i dont know, its taken me a good while for my rating of 152 (4-5 hours). But I have long quality posts. MyLot only pays like 1-3 cents in reality so it would be even more posts and it would take even longer.

Thats a really interesting point you've raised there. The way I see it is I'm sitting at home raising my baby boy so if I can earn a little extra cash by spending a coupke of hours writing my opinion then I am quite happy to do so. Its not much effort and I am having a great time doing it. Its actually keeping me sane a little bit considering my car broke down and I have been trapped in this house for the last few days. I am really quite impressed with the amount of posts you have generated in one day and wish you all the best, hope somehow you can figure out a way to earn lots, and let me know :P lol, Have fun :D

it will also all depend on how fast you type and how well you think to reply.

Would be interesting to know if someone could even keep it up long enough every day for a whole month to earn enough to pay for their internet connection. And are other things left behind? Like sleep, which I need some of now!

What I meant to say was, it shouldn't be your ONLY source of income.

Yeah, don't use it for your income. No way you can live off of it.

if you were to get paid 5 cents per response/topic/comment that would be great.. but that is not realistic. Some descussions don't even get any responses, .. it would be nice though
