Technology itself is often looked to for solutions to environmental problems.For example,environmentalists have long decried the use of pesticides.When genetically modified plants were produced that would reduce or eliminate the need for pesticides,it looked though that technology had provided a good solution.Howvere it has been proved that such solutions sometimes backfire and can result in additional problems. Industrial progress was meant to make our lives easier and in some ways it has.We appreciate the inventions and advancement that technology has presented to us,but very production of these and our use of them have often resulted in ruining parts of the world.
