Do you check if forwarded emails are true?

Have you ever gotten an email warning or interesting story that you are sure is true? Then you send it to all your friends. One of them emails you back to tell you they checked with snopes.com, truthorfiction.com (or one of the other sites like it) and the whole thing is not true. It has happened to me and it makes me feel really dumb. Now I check out things on truthorfiction.com before I forward it. How about you?

Yes I do always read the content of any forwarded mails that comes to me before sending to others. Why I do this because suppose if there is any unwanted or abuse in the mail I don't want my friend to get hurt or waste his time. http://www.linkbucks.com/link/fddbc609

i usually do. i've had the same thing happen to me... more than a couple of times, actually. so now, i usually check it first before forwarding to other friends.

Yup, I always check it out, usually at snopes. If I don't find it there, I'll check urbanlegends or truthorfiction. Even if it's false, I'll still forward it if it's good for a laugh or something. Whenever I forward it, I'll note whether it is true, false, or partially true.
