Whenever my little kid acts up and won't listen to me, I tell my husband that he needs to put his foot down. And, so he talks to her and she calms down. H ow do you handle situations where your child won't listen to you? Do you do time-outs? What works for you?

I just leave him alone and ask some one else in the family members to handle the situation.

I do time outs for my 2 year old son after watching the show 'Super Nanny'. Whenever he misbehaves, I'll get him to stand against the wall for about two minutes, after which I explain to him why he was being made to stand there. He will say sorry and we'll hug each other.

I do time-outs, taking away privleges and always telling them why they are getting punished. If all that doesn't work then I talk to my husband and he deals with it.
