yes I do ... and I believe the way the world is changing these days will result in that idea becoming acceptable all around the world. As some people said before, women have certain traits that men don't have, which brings about a balance to the men. However, in the past women were not allowed to fully develop those traits, because they were kept down in society. Now, however, they're getting the opportunity to develop those traits and as a result we're going to see a lot of changes in society. There's a saying that goes "humanity's like a bird, one wing is male while the other is female. The male wing is very strong, but the female wing is very weak." If you have a bird with one strong wing and one weak wing, the bird can only fly in circles and can not get to the point the bird wants to go. But a bird with two strong wings can go anywhere it wants.

That is a very good point.Women are there to assist men.Women actually play a very big role in every man's life.As the saying goes "Behind every successful man is a woman"

I find that's a very old fashioned way of thinking ... my point is that we are equals because we compliment each other and that men have to allow women the opportunity to grow and develop their capabilities properly in order for women to be a balance to men in society. In order to do that, they need to be allowed to experience all the things men have experienced, etc. There is a somewhat common belief, for example, that women would make better leaders / Prime Ministers / Presidents, than men, simply because they are generally more compassionate, and would not try to lead their country into war for example. The thing is the world will never know if that is true, unless we try it and see where it leads us.

There's no such thing as gender equality, not yet at least. Women can wear both pink and blue but it looks off if a man wears pink. Men can go to bars every night but it's off if a woman does it. Men can hold a high position of power while without no one blinking an eye, but it's a big deal when a woman does. A little girl can play with both barbies and trucks but it looks weird if a little boy plays with barbies. There's all sorts of double standards when it comes to our gender. It's not equal now and I honestly don't know if it ever will be. It's crazy how all these things that we mostly associate with men and mostly associate with women are still in us, despite not having lived through that era/time when these things were the norm. None of it is the norm nowadays (not predominantly anyway) yet it's still around. Everyday, still around us. Crazy.

its sad to hear that chauvinists still exists. women had great power for ages. some men just hate to accept that. think of cleopatra, queen of sheba, queen elizabeth, margaret thatcher. to name a few. men fight, women talk. my hubby treats me with lots of respect and i look up to him, but in respect. not because im a lesser person than him. he involves me in every descision and we truly are happy. we all have certain places as another factor is our different bodies. women are built meak and small where men have more muscle. that really makes a difference in the workplace.

Yes, I believe in gender equality. I believe we are equal but different. Both genders have stregnths and weaknesses. I think we were made to compliment eachother. To help eachother. To appreciate eachother. I don't think we were meant to think that one person or gender is better or more important than the other.
