The Use Of Religion To Turn A Profit

In the last 30 years, religion has become a very lucrative business opportunity for TV preachers and con artists who want to spread the word of the lord and turn a quick buck. There are pastors who make millions of dollars a year from selling videos, CD's, books, and collecting donations. These people sell fake miracles to devoted, god fearing people. Is it right to use religion to make money?

In every religion there are people who are making money at the cost of gullible religious people. If you have one god, in Hinduism, there are thousands of gods. Some people open a temple, install a god and exploit people by asking them to worship. Service charges are not announced but they collect money. Actually religion is purely personal matter and it should be left with individuals to carry out religious activities within 4 walls of the hosue. Unfortunately, it has come to footpath.

i totally agree with you.... using religion for own profit is really very ridiculas....
they are those ppl who just dont understand a simple thing tht one day they have to appear infront of GOD and tht would be their judgment day....when they wont be able to deny any of their deeds[ good or bad]
these things are coming into society so quickly tht ppl are going really far from their religions and beliefs....
MAY GOD BLESS THEM WITH GOOD AND RIGHT THINKING.
