Man and woman are joined as one in marriage, should they as well be joined as one in their savings? what are the possitive or negative implications?

In truth there are many negative implications. My marriage has recently ended and it is a nightmare getting one another's name off all the stuff. She has even gone into my bank account and raided my savings because she still had an active bank card. I do realize that when you first get married everything seems like it is forever and that things like this will never happen, I would tread carefully however. Nothing is forever. Sorry to be so negative :( cheers,

I agree with you. Unravellnig any financial business is so d*** difficult. It seems so easy to get into the mess. People are falling over themselves to give you money these days. Please be careful difficult to say that there is a good or bad answer

My wife and I have a house account. It pays for house expenses, shopping and the bills that have to be paid. In addition we both have separate personal accounts for things like presents holiday expenses cloths etc. Seems to work for us 35 years down the line.
