My older son, who just finished his sophmore year in College brought home the book. It was part of his "reading list" for the previous year. Ironically, I had read another one of Mitch Albom's books last year, right after losing my mother..Tuesdays at Morries was one of Albom's first books, one of his first attempts at this genre of writing. He's been a Sports writer for the Detroit News/Free Press for several years now, but something hit him "squarely" and he found the need to expand upon his journalism background. Albom attended school back East, and had a rather Eccentric Professor who adored Albom....I don't want to tell the whole story here..but in it..Albom learns that his beloved Professor is dying from a terminal illness..and his experience of spending time with him while the Newspaper he was working for back home (Detroit) is enduring a "walk out"...and what Mitch learns about himself, and life itself may open your own eyes on some relationships you may not want to forget!!
