There is this huge splash put on right now by the Ontario (Canada) government and on one particular commercial a quote caught my attention and I must say that as a parent it has greatly affected me.
~We don't inherit the earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children~
Do you think this is true? What do you think?
I personally love this quote. I think it is so true and beautiful because whatever we do today good and bad our children get to deal with when we are gone.
I HAD to share this with everyone here on mylot because I love this quote.

Hello PunkyMcPunk,
I think it is true. Things we do now will not only affect us. Our children have to live in the world that we make. We do inherit the world from our parent, but we have to do the right things so we can leave the world to our children. It makes you think! Good discussion!

ThanX for the response Totty, it just got me thinking, this quote did get me thinking, instead of blaming my parents for how things are I should get off my butt and fix things for my baby!

Absolutely a great quote. I am the grandmother of adults, and looking back I can see how the carelessness of my generation, and those preceeding me made some horendous disicions that will affect many generations to come. Shame on us, and thank GOD for those who are coming up with cures for our mistakes.
