I have heard that rating responses and discussion helps people earn more. So I have started rating peoples discussions and responses if I think they are good. Do you rate? And do you think that it really has an effect on our earnings?

I make it a point to rate every discussion I respond to. I dont have proof that it increases my earnings but Iknow it is the courtious thing to do.

I try to rate as much as possible. Usually I give a positive rating unless the comment has nothing and I mean nothing to do with the discussion. I read somewhere that the ratings do affect the payouts, but I have never tried to prove it. I figure if it could help someone why no do it?

I rate everyone who responds to my discussions with a plus , I have only ever rated a minus twice . once was very rude about my family and one was just gobbledygooks , now I just ignore things like that , I think rating everyone a plus is a thank you for responding to my discussions xx

I don't know for sure, but I think it has some impact on the rater but more on the poster. At least, that would make sense. Of course, I'm always expecting things to make sense and am frequently disappointed. :-)

And, yes, I do rate the ones I respond to and sometimes ones I don't have any response for but think are good discussions.

Dear Aurone I rate members who respond to my discussions with a + .. I don't give a - .. If I think the post is not matching my discussion then I simply report for it and I have noticed mylot removes it after going through the matter. Well I don't think people earns more by getting rated here .. earning depends on our work purely .. we need to post quality discussions and respond in a quality manner as well .. this is the key to earning here .. Getting + ratings increases our star number .. that's it .. Happy mylotting my dear friend :) and I can see you are very close to 500 -- so wish you good luck for reaching that nice number in advance :)

I've rated people with a + when I really like what they have to say even if I don't agree with them. I've never given anyone a-, I just don't believe in giving one.

I rate peoples discussions regardless, but I always try and answer someones discussion as a quality answer so that it appears like I took the time to contribute a worthwhile answer. Rating is slightly important but quality answers are better to add to the overall topics.

No I haven't so far. I don't see the point. You respond to the discussion you like. I won't give someone a bad rating just because I'm not interested in his discussion.
