Man steals car that has keys and engine running with child inside

Mom leaves keys in running car with her 5 year old child inside while she goes to get her other child from daycare. Why would she not stop the car park and take her son into the place with her? This child could have gotten into the drivers seat and put it into gear then she might have been going to the hospital because he could have hurt someone or himself. Just so you all don't worry he was found 10 blocks away still in the car thank god for small miracles.

Why is it that there is a rising case of child negligence reported everywhere? This is really upsetting because the mother could have done better instead of putting her child inside the car at risk, which did happen...it's good that nothing happend to the child, but what if something bad happened? There is also another case of a woman leaving an 11 month old baby in the car under the scorching heat of the sun while doing groceries! Why the seeming negligence of people over children's welfare? I hope there are answers to this question, but the most important lesson is: to always think of the welfare of the child above adult personal convenience....

This happened in a city close to where I live not to long ago. The woman said she was just running her other child in daycare and would be right back. A man jumped in the car and stole it and the baby was in the car in a car seat. Needless to say they found the car and the baby also. But Mom's be careful. Crazies are out there all the time just ready to jump in a car or steal a purse or whatever.

We all do things without thinking. I am glad that everything turned out well. We all have to quit thinking that things only happen to others and in big towns, because it is everywhere. She should have at least taken her keys and locked the door. The best and safest would have been to take him in too.

Wow thank goodness the child is ok. I would never ever leave my daughter in a running car by herself, especially in a parking lot. You just never know who is lurking around waiting for their next victim.

I can understand the moms thinking as I have four kids and know how hard it is to get them all out of the car to run in for 2 secs. But never would I leave the keys in the car with my children in it. This happens all the time and people just don't think it will ever happen to them.

Well, that is not a good idea to ever do it that way. Maybe that will teach her to be more responsible next time.
