I am 32 yrs. old and my dad went abroad since I was 12. Its been 20 yrs and I miss my dad so much. I want to express how thankful I am to be his daughter because he is such a great dad!Its hard to grow without your father by your side to guide you. Being the eldest of 6 in the family.I played the role of my dad while his away and its really hard.If time can be turned back I wish my father is here with us.It really makes a difference

My father worked abroad for 15 years he left when I was 8 years old. I just dont know that time why he left us but when I grew up I realized how big her heart is to go there and work. It is such a big sacrifice for him since working far from home is not easy. He came back last month and planning to go back again to work because he all he wanted was to give us a better life. He supported me in my studies in college until I graduate and I am so very thankful for having him as my father.

Its heartwarming to know that you acknowledge all of your father's sacrifices just to give you a better future...You said that he is here now... let me tell you something... do not be ashamed to express that you are thankful to have him as your father.. Give him a kiss and hug... to let him feel your love and care.... This is the best time or you will regret not showing him that you care....

It's really a big sacrifice for father's to work abroad and be away from their dear family. I had experienced what it felt to be away from your family and I really salute and honor those father (and mother) also who do this in order to give their family a better life. Well regarding your question, I would rather have my father work and stay here with us. Nothing can compensate to the relationship and closeness that children could have with their father.

yes, I agree with you. Its very hard to make up for the lost times. I also believe as the we grow up, guidance is very important and one of the best guidance we can get is from our dad....I also admire you for being strong to leave your family to give them better future. But as my dad always say "There's no better place like home."
