'Oh no! Not again.......! Do we have to?' That's the reaction I would get from my two children when asked to eat their plate full of veggies with their meal. Seriously, are we getting enough of them? The National Health Board suggested that we have two servings of fruits and vegetables per day to met our daily fibre and nutritional needs. But do you actually bother? Why is it so difficult for some even adults to have at least an apple? Do have some say... Thanks.

I am a vegetarian, so I love to eat vegetables and fruits. But not lots. In some limited quantity, sufficient enough to maintain the taste.

Yes, I eat vegetable everyday. However, I don't eat fruits everyday. I know I should, but I didn't! Lol... I don't know why is this happening, what I keep forgetting to eat them. Maybe because I am not in the habit of serving fruits as desserts on the lunch and dinner table. Fruits are source of multi-vitamins and fiber. I think I should start practising putting fruits on the table starting from tonight. Lol... thanks for reminding me!

That's the way to go.....I think we should all keep our diet healthy and put away those sugary desserts... Just like what they say,'An apple a day keeps the doctor away!!'....:D

I eat vegetables and fruits everyday, as I add most of them on our meals. It also depends on what I would like to add, on what I think is good for our body. As you know, not all vegetables serves good for our body. Too much can sometimes be bad to our health, so I usually balance the foods we consume for the day.

I agree with you that we should balance up our meal. That way, all our nutritional needs are being met. Thanks for your response!!

I almost always get my correct servings of fruit per day. I love fruit. I try to stay away from fruit juices because of additives and the amount of sugar, so I'll just eat fruit like peaches or grapes. As for vegetables, well I'm not that good at making sure I get enough of those. I'm positive I eat at least half of the amount I'm supposed to per day, but not always. That's why I've recently been trying vegetable drinks. I want to stay healthy, but sometimes I don't like what I have to eat to get there. : )

Yeah...You go Girl!! I am also trying to change my diet to a more healthier option. No more sweet tooth for me..... Bring on the fruits and salads...Though sometimes it's hard to swallow.... Now, I am a Chinese tea enthusiast... Drinking Green Tea and WuLong Tea really does wonders!! I'v never fancy drinking vegetable drinks though. I've tried but each time it made me puke!! LOL!! :D

I live in Canada and where we live, from late fall until spring, it is cold and we have to import our fruits and vegetables except for what we picked or got and froze during the summer months. The cheapest fruit in the winter are apples, bananas, and oranges, the latter two that are imported. But we get a lot of vegetables. I eat a lot, but my husband would eat fruit, but not vegetables, although he will eat salad if he is hungry enough. I think it is that with men they think that if there is not enough meat and potatoes, they are starving, but fruit and vegetables seems to them a luxury.
