How do you celebrate your birthday?

I was born on Christmas day, Dec. 25 and I don't celebrate my birthday as most people forget my birthday is on that date.

It is a simple ceremonial occasion with not much pomp. The most important part in our birthdays is the family feast with lots of vegetarian dishes . Rice is served on plantain leaves alongwith a number of curries and sweets.

If I were to celebrate my birthday I would hold a small gathering which consist only my immediate family members. We would recite a small prayers and eat something special for the occasion.

I don't really do anything special on my birthday except that we usually have dinner as a family (you know we go out of our way to be home for dinner or go out for dinner). But this year I went to the spa with my sister and boyfriend for a massage and body scrub. Then afterwards we went out to dinner with our parents and some friends.

i usually go to Church, or having a Prayer to thank God for the life and everything. then, ill go to places that i wanted to go, but i dont usually celebrated my birthday with lots of foods cause usually i dont have money everytime my birthday comes.

i hate birthdays, they remind me of my childhood so i dont celebrate them at all, i just hide from the world until its over

Haha, well ,thank you in advance too. I use to celebrate my birthday with my closed family members. I have a close friend who moved to US, I am from Philippines. He will call me through the phone on my birthday. So, that's it. I am not with my family right now, that's the reason why I cannot celebrate my whole family. ~mar
