Have you ever thought sometimes that your doctor maybe giving you the wrong medicine or a very strong one or one that is not that effective for whatever sickness or disease you have?

I just do not blindly follow what the doctors say. I have it counter checked by some of close friends who are doctors and they too can analyse without any bias. Many a times, some medications prescribed are not necessary and it helps us save money.

Yes sometimes I do that too in order to save money especially if the medicine prescribed are antibiotics that cost so much depending on what brand. Lucky for you to have doctors friends. Me I sometimes check on the internet or ask my sister who have medical background.

I think in the matter of personal medicine, it is not advisible to depend on the internet. It is as good as reading books pertaining to medicine. The real doctor llisten to the problem, analyse the same and come to some conclusion (he is not always sure) and prescribes some medicine. Thanks for your comments.

Well I have doubted the medicine doctor prescribed several times. Once it was for diabetes he prescribed Glyburide and I read that this medicine makes your body produce too much insulin and that is the reason it is effective but in long term it makes your body tired and then you have to go on insulin so doctor was not happy but he switched the medicine to another medice which was expensive but safe.
